2013 Turkey Trot--Wow!

The seventh annual Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving was a huge succes, thanks to over 275 runners and walkers and the hard work of Rich Hamilton and other organizers. The record number of participants raised a record $5,615 for the Bedford Food Pantry. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and we depend on and are grateful for the support. Everything you need to know about the Thanksgiving pantry

The Thanksgiving pantry will be held Monday, November 25, from 3:00-6:00. Anyone who is a pantry member and has a yellow card by Thursday, November 14 may reserve a frozen turkey and all the other ingredients for a turkey dinner. From 5:30-6:00 we will distribute any extras to people who were not pantry members by 11/14, or who didn't make a reservation.

The pantry will be open normal hours on November 21, and closed on Thanksgiving, November 28.

Mark your calendars for this year's Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning at John Glenn Middle School. A 5K Fun Run and Walk, the Turkey Trot is Bedford Food Pantry's biggest fundraiser. Rich Hamilton swims 54 miles for the Food Pantry!

Bedford resident Rich Hamilton set a goal for himself at the beginning of the summer: swim 50 miles and collect pledges for each mile to benefit the Food Pantry. Thanks to Rich's hard work and many loyal supporters, he surpassed his goal by four miles, raising over $1,500 in the process. Community dinners return Thursday, September 12

Our popular Community Dinners begin another season on Thursday, September 12, at 5:00 in the dining room downstairs in Bedford Town Center. We'll be serving the ever popular pot roast. This dinner is made possible by the dedicated efforts of members of the First Church of Christ, Congregational in Bedford and other individual volunteers. Community Dinners are free and open to everyone. Come join us!
