Servers wanted
If you're looking for a volunteer gig and are free from 4:45-6:00 some Thursday evenings, have we got a job for you! Our service area, clarified
The Bedford Community Table/Pantry has always served primarily Bedford and nearby communities, but did not specify any defined service area. We now find it necessary to clarify our policy. Effective October 1, 2018, our food pantry services will only be available to residents of towns surrounding Bedford, which are listed here.
Current clients who do not reside in one of the communities listed may continue to use the food pantry through the end of September. Your pantry card will expire on October 1, 2018. If you need further food assistance, we recommend seeking it from a pantry close to home.
Strong people wanted
Here's the latest episode of "Volunteers needed for the community dinners starting in September": we're looking for strong, able-bodied people to knock down and put away the folding tables after dinner. Want to help out? Looking to satisfy your community service requirement? Starting in September, we need students to set up, serve and clean up at our Thursday Community Dinners. Cooks needed 11/1, 2/21 and 5/9
This time of year we're lining up volunteers for the next season of Community Dinners, which starts in September. We still need cooking crews for November 1, February 21 and May 9. The cooking crew plans, shops for and prepares a free Thursday evening dinner. (We're happy to reimburse the food cost.) Time commitment on the day of is 2:00-6:00.
