Pot washers wanted!
Here's another of our occasional volunteer opportunities: we could use another person or two to help out with clean-up at the community dinners. Thursday evenings from 5:30-6:30, downstairs at Town Center (12 Mudge Way) in Bedford. If you know how to wash dishes, you're quallified. Anyone who's interested, please send us your contact info using the Contact tab, or leave us a message at 781-275-7355. Thanks!
Bedford Stop & Shop's Food for Friends campaign is a big help!
So many thanks to the customers and associates of the Bedford Stop & Shop. We just received a check for over $1,900 from last fall's Food for Friends campaign. This is an important source of support for us, and we thank everyone who made it possible!
Volunteer opportunity alert!
We're fortunate to get the leftover baked goods from Panera Bread on Rt. 62 in Bedford every Wednesday night. We just need someone to pick them up at 9pm and drop them off at the pantry between 1:00 and 3:00 on Thursday afternoons. Can you help? Use the Contact form here or leave a message at 781-275-7355 for more information.
Turkey Trot a great success!
This year's Turkey Trot, held Thanksgiving morning, raised over $9,000 for the Bedford Food Pantry. This support is vital to our operations, and we offer heartfelt thanks to all the participants, sponsors, volunteers, and most of all Rich Hamilton, who directed the whole shebang.
Strong? Big vehicle? We could use your help!
We're looking for a couple of volunteers to pick up food orders at local markets, drive them to the Food Pantry, and carry them inside. Great strength training! If you're interested and want more information, please leave us a message at 781-275-7355 or use the Contact tab. Thanks in advance!
